5.5 watt surface-mounted emergency lighting OTG-DD-4
The OTG-DD-4 is a quality luminaire and the favourite among installers and security companies. The emergency light fixture has 41 LEDs and has a test button. With the help of the test button, it can be checked whether the battery of the luminaire is intact.
The luminaire comes with 4 pictograms that have the following arrow directions: left, right, up and down. You can paste the icon on the fixture yourself that applies to your situation. Note: when walking straight ahead, you must stick the icon with the up arrow on the luminaire. Before you stick the icon on the luminaire, it is best to first make soapy water with which you soap the cap of the luminaire. If you then stick the icon on the luminaire, you can easily smooth the air bubbles under the sticker.
Additional icons
It is possible to order a separate icon set, consisting of 8 icons, with these fixtures.
Installation
Emergency lighting fixture OTG-DD-4 is equipped with 41 LEDs. The LED emergency lighting can be mounted above doors, windows and on walls. In consultation with a specialist, you can see in how many places you need emergency lighting and how you can mount it. On the back and the 4 sides of the fixture are marked circles that you can pierce. After you have drilled a hole, you can connect the wiring to the crown stone attached to the circuit board. This is how you connect the luminaire to the electricity grid (230V). To make the hole resistant to water damage, you can mount a pg9 strain relief in the drilled hole so that you then run the wiring. In this way you protect the luminaire against water damage and in addition, the strain relief ensures that the cord cannot be disconnected from the crown stone.
The built-in frames are available separately if you want to neatly conceal the luminaire in the room.
Continuous or non-continuous
The luminaire can be set to continuous (permanent lighting) or emergency (non-permanent or non-continuous emergency lighting). If the luminaire is set to continuous, the light will be on even if there is no power failure. If you set the luminaire to non-continuous, the light will only switch on when the luminaire no longer receives power from the mains and then it will stay on for 3 hours. Three hours is usually sufficient for employees and visitors to leave a building and also falls within the legal standard.
CE approved
All our emergency lighting models are CE approved and meet the standards and requirements that apply in the Netherlands and Belgium. The housing and diffuser are made of high-quality plastic.
