Light intensity and color temperature
Light intensity
If you want to create a comfortable atmosphere with lighting, you can use our 0.7 Watt and 1 Watt LED lamps with a luminous flux of approx. 40 lumens per lamp. This luminous flux is comparable to an 8 Watt light bulb. If you prefer a higher luminous flux, we recommend the 1.5 Watt LED lamps with 90 lumen or the 2 Watt standard LED lamps with 125 lumen. The 2 Watt LED lamp is comparable to a 20 Watt incandescent bulb. The 2 Watt LED filament lamp has a luminous flux of 180 lumens and is thus comparable to a 25 Watt incandescent bulb. Dimmable bulbs often have a higher wattage but achieve a relatively low luminous flux at the highest setting. This is because the dimming option also draws power. The standard dimmable 2 watt LED bulbs have a luminous flux of about 90 lumens, and the dimmable 3 watt LED filament bulbs have a luminous flux of about 150 lumens on the highest setting.
LED lamp's wattage | Lumen | Comparable to | Recommendation |
0,7W warmwhite | 36-50 Lumen | 8W bulb | relaxing atmosphere |
1W warmwhite | 32-50 Lumen | 8W bulb | relaxing atmosphere |
1,5W warmwhite | 80-110 Lumen | 15W bulb | between 1W & 2W |
2W dimmable | 0-110 Lumen | 15W bulb | between 1W & 2W |
2W standard | 125-170 Lumen | 20W bulb | effective lighting |
3W filament dimmable | 0-200 Lumen | 25W bulb | dimmable, always fitting |
2W filament non-dimmable | 200-250 Lumen | 25W bulb | effective lighting |
5W warmwhite | 350 Lumen | 30W bulb | intesive lighting |
Color temperature / Kelvin
The light color of our light bulbs is measured in Kelvin. 2000 Kelvin (or 2000 K) denote an "extra" warm white light. This corresponds to candlelight, where the light is softer and more yellow. 2650 K corresponds to the color of an incandescent bulb. This means the color is still warm white, but slightly less yellow. 6500 K light bulbs have a cool white color. In the Kelvin spectrum, a lower number indicates a warmer light color. Many of our customers hesitate when choosing a color temperature for their lighting, thinking that 2000 K may be too warm or 2650 K too cold. Therefore, our suggestion is always to stick to the first choice, as it is usually the right one. Tastes are different; that's why we have both options in our range.
